About the products

Who makes your leather goods?

I do. I'm Mark, and every piece is cut, stitched and finished by hand in my workshop in Cornwall. Nothing is made in a factory or overseas, and I make in small batches.

What leather do you use?

Most of my work is full-grain veg-tan leather, which is tanned with natural plant tannins and ages beautifully. I also use Italian pull-up leather and Badalassi Carlo wax leather from Italy. One item, the metallic glasses case, is made from chrome-tanned leather, and its product page says so.

Will mine look exactly like the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Much of my leather is dyed by hand, so the colour and grain vary a little from piece to piece. That's part of what makes each one yours.

Will the leather change over time?

Yes. Veg-tan and pull-up leather darken and soften with use and develop a patina. Marks and colour changes from everyday carry are part of that character, not faults.

How do I look after it?

Keep it dry, wipe it with a soft cloth, and give it a little leather conditioner every few months. My Leather Care guide covers everything, including what to do if it gets wet.

Orders and delivery

How quickly will my order be sent?

Orders are dispatched within 24–48 hours, and you'll get a tracking number by email as soon as your parcel ships.

Is everything in stock, or made to order?

Most pieces are ready to go. If something needs making from scratch, such as a sold-out colour, allow 1–2 extra working days and I'll email you if that applies. If you need it by a certain date, email shop@craftydrifters.co.uk before you order.

How much is delivery?

UK delivery is free on orders of £25 or more. Under £25, it's £3.50. Everything goes by Royal Mail Tracked 48. See my Shipping policy for the details.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

At the moment I only deliver within the UK. If you're abroad and would like something, email me and I'll see what I can do.

When should I order for Christmas?

Order by Wednesday 16 December for Christmas delivery (Royal Mail Tracked 48). If you're cutting it fine, email me before you order and I'll tell you what's possible.

Returns and warranty

What's your returns policy?

My veg-tan, full-grain and pull-up leather pieces come with no-questions 30-day returns. If it's not right, email me within 30 days and I'll sort it out. Personalised or custom-made pieces can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty. Your normal legal rights as a buyer always apply too. Full details are in my Refund policy.

What if my order arrives damaged or wrong?

Email me within 7 days of delivery with a photo. I'll send a free return label and either replace it or give you a full refund, including postage.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Veg-tan, full-grain and pull-up leather pieces have a lifetime repair warranty on faulty leather or stitching. See my Lifetime Repair Warranty page for the details.

What about sale items?

Sale items are sold as seen. They might be older stock, have slight colour differences or a few wonky stitches, but they all work as they should. The issues are cosmetic only.
