Style 6 Hand-Dyed Leather Bi-Fold Wallet: Six Pockets, Made in Cornwall

Style 6 hand-dyed leather bi-fold wallet open and empty on moss

Some wallets are bought for a season. Others are bought for the long haul. The Style 6 hand-dyed leather bi-fold wallet belongs firmly in the second camp: a slim, hard-working bi-fold cut from full-grain veg-tan leather, dyed and sewn by hand in our Cornwall workshop.

Here's a closer look at what it holds, who it suits, and how to look after it so it keeps getting better with every year in your pocket.

Six card pockets and a cash section

Open the Style 6 and you'll find six card pockets plus a cash section for your notes. Between them, those pockets comfortably take 10 to 14 cards, so there's room for your bank cards, driving licence, a loyalty card or two and the odd membership card, without everything piling into one bulging slot.

Closed, it measures approximately 90mm × 90mm. That compact, square footprint is what keeps it slim enough for a front or back trouser pocket, while still giving you a proper wallet's worth of storage.

Who the Style 6 suits

The Style 6 is a good match if you:

  • Carry a fair few cards but don't want a chunky wallet
  • Still like to keep some notes on you
  • Prefer one tidy, organised wallet over a card sleeve plus loose cash
  • Appreciate leather that looks better at five years old than it did on day one

It's an easy everyday carry for anyone, and a thoughtful choice if you're replacing a tired shop-bought wallet with something made to last.

Hand-dyed and hand-sewn in Cornwall

Every Style 6 starts as full-grain veg-tan leather, the top layer of the hide with its natural grain left intact. We dye each wallet by hand, which is why no two come out quite the same: the colour settles into the leather a little differently every time, giving each piece its own depth and character.

It's then hand-sewn here in Cornwall. Hand stitching takes longer than running a piece through a machine, but it's how we like to work, and it means every wallet has been through a maker's hands from first cut to final stitch.

How it ages

Full-grain veg-tan leather is known for developing a patina, the gradual deepening of colour and soft sheen that comes from handling, light and everyday use. The Style 6 has a rich feel from the start, and that character only grows with time. Scuffs and marks become part of its story rather than flaws to worry about.

Caring for your leather wallet

Good leather doesn't ask for much, but a little care goes a long way:

  • Keep it dry where you can. If it gets caught in a Cornish downpour, let it dry naturally at room temperature, away from radiators and direct heat.
  • Condition occasionally. A light coat of a quality leather balm every few months helps keep the leather supple. Test on a hidden area first, as conditioners can darken leather slightly.
  • Don't overfill it. Stick to the card capacity it's designed for and the pockets will keep their shape.
  • Let it breathe. Store it somewhere cool and dry rather than sealed in plastic.
